Code of Conduct

  • Please follow the rules of our host facility. (See Below)
  • Please supervise your children at all times.
  • Modest dress is requested.  Please do not wear clothes that promote death with symbols or words.
  • Please do not bring Biblically unclean foods into the camp.
  • Please be courteous to the host facility staff by picking up your trash and minimizing their workload.
  • Disrespect to our host facility will not be tolerated.
  • Our heart is to have a peaceful camp and to learn from each other. Please be gracious in your discussions and mindful of your witness. Belittling of others and having a divisive spirit in your conversations is not welcome.
  • Love your neighbor as yourself
  • Bring a joyful and festive spirit
  • Remember that this is a rehearsal where we are learning how to come into agreement with the Most High.
  • We value your feedback. If you have suggestions for the future, be sure to let us know. We are all part of the body of Messiah and we need to hear from you.

  • THE GUEST GROUP AGREES TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD THE REHEARSAL BOARD AND VOLUNTEERS HARMLESS FROM ALL DAMAGES, JUDGMENTS, EXPENSES, ATTORNEY’S FEES, AND COMPENSATION ARISING OUT OF PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE SUSTAINED IN WHOLE OR IN PART BY ANY OR ALL PERSONS WHATSOEVER.

Host Facility Guidelines

  • Twin Lakes Christian Center is a camping and retreat ministry of the Evangelical Covenant Churches in Iowa. It is the desire and mission of Twin Lakes Christian Center and the Covenant Churches that the facilities are used to present Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and that people are called to a life committed to Him.
  • The guest group understands that the Executive Director, or his/her designated substitute(s) in the event of the director’s absence, shall have the final authority on all matters affecting Twin Lakes Christian Center and the welfare and safety of the center and its guests.
  • The guest group agrees to comply with all of the policies of Twin Lakes Christian Center, and to conduct a “clean camp” where facilities and grounds are kept litter free, and to leave the facilities and grounds clean upon departure (cabin floors swept, trash in proper receptacles).
  • All meals provided by Twin Lakes need to be pre-purchased no later than 2 weeks before the event.
  • The use of non prescription drugs, gambling, firearms, and smoking is not permitted at Twin Lakes Christian Center.
  • Pets are not permitted in any of the buildings and must be leashed at all times.  Please pickup after your pets and dispose droppings appropriately.
  • Quiet hours are observed from 10 pm to 7 am.
  • Guests are to refrain from wearing apparel that advertises, implies or mentions illegal drugs, immoral activity or profane language. Guests are to wear clothing and beach wear that is modest and in good taste.
  • The guest group agrees to pay for any and all damages to Twin Lakes Christian Center property, beyond ordinary wear and tear, caused by any member or members of the guest group.
  • Any serious accident, illness, or first aid treatment must be reported to Twin Lakes Christian Center staff before any guest leaves the property. Any Twin Lakes Christian Center medical supplies consumed must be reported in order that they may be replenished and properly logged. Log and reporting forms are available at the Twin Lakes Christian Center office.
  • Vehicles are restricted to paved or graveled roads, except for the purposes of transporting disabled persons. Please park in designated parking lots in order to keep roads, driving lanes and walkways open. Please avoid muddy areas when at all possible.
  • Waterfront: NO LIFEGAURD ON DUTY. Children (17 and under) must be with parents or adults while at the waterfront. Swimming and boat usage is limited to designated times. Please follow all other posted rules.
  • Please protect and supervise your children at all times (especially as they walk between main camp and the RV Center). TLBC is located in a public neighborhood with regular vehicle traffic and situated on a lake with all the risks involved with water activities.
  • There are outdoor green trash cans near mini golf, the green cabins, the RV center, and the Dining Hall. Dumpsters are located at the RV Center and behind the Dining Hall. Please do not leave trash bags outside where rodents will get into them.
  • Please do not move into your housing before: 4:00pm on check-in day. Please move out of your housing by: 4:00pm on check-out day
  • THE GUEST GROUP AGREES TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD TWIN LAKES CHRISTIAN CENTER HARMLESS FROM ALL DAMAGES, JUDGMENTS, EXPENSES, ATTORNEY’S FEES, AND COMPENSATION ARISING OUT OF PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE SUSTAINED IN WHOLE OR IN PART BY ANY OR ALL PERSONS WHATSOEVER AS A RESULT OF OR ARISING OUT OF ANY ACT OF OMISSION OF A GUEST GROUP, ITS AGENTS OR EMPLOYEES, OR CAUSED BY A DISASTER / EMERGENCY OR ACT OF GOD (FLOOD, FIRE, ETC.).
