Evening Community Meals

Everyone is welcome to join us for the evening community meal at the Dining Hall.

The Rehearsal has organized Evening Community Meals. We would like to promote fellowship at the feast and one beautiful way is to share a meal. We have rented the Twin Lakes Kitchen in which we will prepare the evening meals.  We will have both the dining hall and a tent set up just outside the dining hall to accommodate everyone.  Please bring your own “eatware” for your family to use for the meal.

The Rehearsal believes that food is also a form of worship and desires to honor our King with what we eat.

Several of the board members and those on staff believe that GMO foods are not Biblically clean along with the fact that there is a high correlation of health issues with consuming them.  We at The Rehearsal desire to provide food worthy of the temple our King has blessed us with.  If you have any questions about this stance, please contact The Rehearsal.  For more information about what is a GMO, please click here.

Delanie Aguilar is the Food Coordinator and has created the menu you see below.  We have sourced meat that has been raised well and fed organically.  We desire to offer healthy food choices with GF options.  We ask for your help to bring Biblically clean and non-GMO foods.  We also ask that you try to bring as much organically sourced foods as possible.

The food is supplied by your donations and sponsored by The Rehearsal.

We are asking for people to donate food items to be used in the meals onsite.  We have a specific menu and list of items that we need.  Whatever is not donated will be purchased by The Rehearsal or will not be available for the meal.  You will be able to sign up for any food items still needed on your Attendee Registration Dashboard (Join Us)  Please bring a list of ingredients for any prepared food item (ie. dessert or breads) to help those with allergies choose wisely.  If you don’t want to eat the provided food, you are still welcome to bring your own food and come sit with everyone to eat.

Bring your own dishes for daily use to eat from.

The Rehearsal will not be supplying single use dishes and utensils.  Please bring your own “eatware” (plates, cups, utensils, napkins).  We will have a dish washing station available outside of the Dining Hall with water and soap to rinse dishes before bringing back to your room.  This effort is to steward our money use, diminish the time it takes for our clean up crew to wash dishes and to prevent additions to the landfill that we can avoid with a little preparation.  While we encourage reusable dishes, if you do bring single use items for your family, that is ok too.  Do what you can where you are able.

We need your help!

Each meal is pre-planned and organized.  We need volunteers to help with food preparation, serving and clean up for each meal.  We are asking each family to volunteer for serving in each of these areas for at least one meal during Sukkot.

The meal will be served buffet style by servers in the dining hall.  This is to help prevent cross contamination of different food items.  We take very seriously food allergies and desire to create a meal that blesses everyone.  There is a spot on the registration form to indicate your allergy issues.

Note:

Individual families who desire to have a kitchen available to them need to obtain lodging with kitchen facilities – The Inn or North Twin lodge.  Twin Lake’s kitchen is off-limits to us unless you are part of the volunteer crew making the evening meal.
